How do you package your cheesecakes, desserts, cakes or tortes for shipping?
Our gourmet dessderts are blast frozen, then shrink wrapped with a heavy cryovac plastic. Then they go into a foam container that surrounds the cheesecake in 2 inches of insulation. This then goes into a heavy corrugated container. We ship all of our cakes FedEx service. The cheesecake will arrive either partially frozen, or cold and ready to enjoy.
The packaging insures that every dessert will arrive in perfect condition. In the event that there is no one home, FedEx will leave the cake if it is safe to do so. The cake will last 2+ days in the container...especially during the winter months!
Please order with confidence, your dessert will arrive in perfect condition, we guarantee it!
What time will my gourmet dessert arrive?
We ship via FedEx Standard Next Day Service. The delivery time varies by location.
What happens if the recipient is not home?
FedEx will leave the package in a safe place at the address. 85% of our shipments are left at the door. If we had to depend on people being home during the day, nothing would get delivered!
As an alternative, we recommend that you ship to a business address if possible, as generally there is somebody there all day to receive the cheesecake.
When do I have to place my order if I want it delivered the next day?
Each product has a cut off time. We have to receive your order BEFORE the cut off time the day BEFORE you want your product to arrive.
For delivery tomorrow, PLEASE check your watch before placing your order!
Why can't I have a cake delivered on a Monday?
We cannot initiate a shipment on the weekend. We SHIP Monday through Friday, for DELIVERY on Tuesday through Saturday.
Can I ship a dessert to be delivered on Saturday or Sunday?
Saturday delivery is available. See each product for the total shipping cost. The cake has to be shipped on Friday to arrive on Saturday. Sorry, we can not ship cakes to arrive on Sunday or Monday.
What if I need my cheesecake to arrive before noon?
Delivery before noon requires us to ship your cheesecake FedEx Priority Next Day Service, and there is an a additional charge.
Please Note: From our experience, most cheesecakes are delivered well before 3:00 pm (especially to a business address) but if you absolutely need it to be delivered before noon, you should send your cheesecake Priority Overnight.
Can I send a dessert to someone in a foreign country?
At this time no. It's very expensive, and they cannot guarantee timely delivery. Customs issues can also slow down the delivery. Our experience is that nobody is happy with the results, so until that changes, we do not offer international delivery.
Can I order today for delivery in the future (e.g.,can I order two cheesecakes for delivery on Wed. or Thur. of next week)?
Yes, you can order up to 1 year in advance the shipping date. And since we ship every cheesecake overnight, we can pinpoint your delivery day. We deliver every day except Sunday and Monday.
Can I include a note with the dessert?
Yes you can. A gift message is included with our service.
What is your Guarantee?
If you are not thrilled with your cheesecake, for any reason* we will send another cheesecake, or cheerfully refund your money!
* The only exception to this guarantee is if you provide us with an incorrect shipping address, and the cake is late, or undeliverable due to the bad address. Therefore, PLEASE...double check your shipping addresses before you place your order and make absolutely certain you have entered the information correctly on your order form. Incorrect shipping information will most likely result in the product NOT being delivered on the designated day. The cost of any reshipped products due to incorrect address information is the sender's responsibility. Address corrections will be subject to carrier handling or correction fees (approximately $12.50). Therefore, please check all shipping information carefully, especially zip code information.
Do you ship 2DayAir in the summer months?
We want to make sure our gourmet desserts arrive fresh, so in the summer months we offer only overnight delivery on most of our products.
How to properly or effectively slice a cheesecake!
1. Take a chefs knife and hold over burner on stove, just long enough to heat up the blade (can also be done by holding under running hot water)
2. Slice cheesecake completely in half first (this will make pulling the slices out much easier)
3. Wipe the blade of the knife off after each slice. (Starting each cut with a clean blade will result in a much nicer looking slice of cheesecake)
4. Heat the blade again and repeat.
5. Only slice as many pieces as you will use at one time. The rest of the cake will keep much better if not sliced.
